Beef Tenderloin

Ingredients

Beef Tenderloin

1 Beef Tenderloin (approximately 3 pounds)

1/2 cup Butter (1 stick; melted)

1 tsp Garlic (minced)

1-2 tsp Italian Seasonings


Directions

Pre-heat oven to 350°
Mix butter and garlic in a small bowl.
Pour mixture over tenderloin.
Wash hands.
Knead butter/garlic mixture into tenderloin.
Place in roasting pan with a rack.
Sprinkle the top of the roast with Italian seasonings.
Bake at 350° for 30 - 45 minutes for medium rare.
Add additional time for doneness desired.
Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting.

  • 10/18/2011 by Davey Crockett:  This recipe is wonderful but I am not sure the photo goes with the recipe. There is usually not that much fat on a tenderloin. Are you sure this is not a prime rib?

    In any case the recipe turns out the most delicious tenderloin you could ever want. And it is another reason to drink red wine.
