Meat Loaf

Ingredients

Meat Loaf

1 1/2 pound Ground Beef (or meat loaf mix)

1 Egg

1/2 cup Milk

1 sleeve Crackers (Townhouse or Ritz)

2 Tbs Onion (finely chopped)

1/4 tsp Pepper

1/2 tsp Dry Mustard

1 tsp Garlic Powder

1 Tbs Worcestershire

2-3 Tbs Ketchup


Directions

Preheat oven to 375°.
Place crackers in a ziplock bag and roll with a rolling pin until you have crumbs.
In a large bowl combine all ingredients except ketchup.
Mix thoroughly using your hands.
Place mixture into a 9 x 5î loaf pan.
Frost the meat loaf with ketchup.
Bake at 375° for 1 1/2 hours.
Drain grease.
Serve immediately.

Very good. A classic, homestyle favorite, and very tastey. I grew up on this!

Not to take away from this recipe as it is definitely worth trying, but as an adult, I found a healthier version with more vegetables chunks that I like better. Check out my recipe for Meat Loaf Muffins when you have a chance. Try them both...let me know if you agree/disagree.
